Hello! here are a few things i have worked on:

posters
While at the communications department at the University of Virginia School of Law I've worked on a variety of print and web design projects.

For the many events and talks I've designed and produced dozens of posters, mostly with little design direction from the event organizers. In addition to pre-event marketing, we audio and video record the events, editing and releasing them as podcasts and on YouTube.

Another part of my job at UVA Law has been to make various print publications, including brochures, maps and programs for conferences. I also helped art direct a CASE award winning packet of materials for the admissions office.

One of the biggest jobs we have in the communications department at Virginia Law is the design, production and upkeep of our extensive website.

I'm part of a small team that adds daily content, redesigns pages based on Google Analytics data and manages the social media footprint on the law school. One current project I'm heading is making our site mobile-friendly using CSS.

During my time at Inkworks I created, designed, art directed and produced dozens of award-winning trading cards sets. Working closely with the sales staff, studio licensors and other designers, I took raw text and screen-grab images and created finished card sets of up to 120 cards each.

To design the card sets I had to work within existing license styles while also creating something new. At times I had an extensive style guide provided by the licensor, though mostly there was very little guidance, so I was able to make the design decisions about type, color, and overall look.

Each trading card set had matching packaging designed and produced. Using self-generated or printer-provided dielines, I created POP and other packaging including boxes, finseal wraps (using flexographic printing), blister packs and gravity-feed displays.

As with the card sets, some licenses provided an extensive style guide, but many times I had to design the packaging elements completely.

For small start-up companies I’ve designed logos and other branding materials, working with the client to help create their visual identity. I’ve also designed logos for already exisiting licensed products, working within their brand to create something new.

Salvage was a non-profit 501c3 art and literature magazine that I cofounded with a group of artists, designers and writers. In addition to the art direction and design work, from initial magazine concept to final printer-ready files, I built the magazine’s brand, managed volunteers, event-planned launch parties, secured funding grants and helped guide Salvage into non-profit status.
This is just a sample of the many projects I've worked on - please feel free to contact me to see more.

Thank you.
